A Legacy and a New Chapter
After more than 58 years of faithful ministry, Grace Baptist Church honors the retirement of our founding pastor, Pastor Eddie Milligan, who established the church in 1981 alongside his wife, Phyllis. Through decades of faithful preaching and leadership, God has used Pastor Milligan to build a strong, Bible-centered church with a lasting impact.
In January 2026, the church called his son, Pastor Danny Milligan, to serve as Senior Pastor. With gratitude for the past and confidence in God’s continued leading, Grace Baptist Church looks forward to the future with the same commitment to the truth of God’s Word.
Pastor Eddie Milligan
Pastor Emeritus | Founding Pastor (1981–2026)
Pastor Eddie Milligan has faithfully served in ministry for over 58 years and has been the pastor of Grace Baptist Church since its founding in 1981. He was saved in June of 1960 and answered the call to preach in May of 1967.
Before starting Grace Baptist Church, he pastored Faith Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Cottondale. In 1981, he and his wife Phyllis stepped out by faith to establish Grace Baptist Church, where he has faithfully preached, led, and shepherded the congregation for more than four decades.
Pastor Eddie and Phyllis were married in 1979 and have two sons, Danny and Ben, both of whom have been called to preach. His life and ministry have been marked by a steadfast commitment to the Word of God and a burden to see souls saved and believers grow in Christ.
Grace Baptist Church is deeply grateful for Pastor Eddie’s faithful leadership and is honored to recognize him as Pastor Emeritus.
Pastor Danny Milligan
Senior Pastor (2026–Present)
Pastor Danny Milligan was raised in Grace Baptist Church, where he has been a part of the ministry since birth. He was saved in June of 1990 and surrendered to preach on March 21, 1999, answering God’s call to full-time ministry.
He was ordained to the ministry on October 12, 2019, and licensed to preach on June 22, 2023. Through the years, he has faithfully served in various areas of ministry and has a deep love for the church where he was raised and discipled. In January 2026, Grace Baptist Church called him to serve as Senior Pastor.
Pastor Danny married his wife, Sharon, in March of 2013. They have one daughter, Anna Grace, born in 2023.
With a heart for preaching the Word of God, shepherding people, and continuing the work established through decades of faithful ministry, Pastor Danny is committed to leading Grace Baptist Church forward in truth, unity, and a passion for reaching others with the Gospel.
